I've been getting many questions about this so I thought I'd share some info. Currently Google Docs can be browsed on the iPad and iPhone, but only Spreadsheets can be edited. I've clarified the G-Whizz! app description to make this clear. I'm sure Google has plans to make these editable at some point, and of course G-Whizz! will be ready for that when the time comes. Thanks for your understanding!
Any chance of getting this app with a built in browser that uses your google bookmarks that are synced with your google accounts? I have seen an app that does that alone, but would love to have that feature built into this amazing google usage app.ReplyDelete
That's a great idea! Thanks for your feedback!ReplyDelete
Btw, there seems to a problem with many iphone/ipad users that has their calendar displaying in different languages when viewed in a mobile format. I know adding ?hl=en to the end of the url fixes it..if you have had others mention this issue i wanted to inform you of the fix.ReplyDelete
I'd like to discuss a possible app review with you via email, if you wouldn't mind contacting me via my linked profile email.
Love the app, but it keeps quitting when I open a spreadsheet. This app will be a game changer if docs becomes editable.ReplyDelete
@Frank: Thanks for your comments! We have a new version already submitted to Apple that should solve most of the crashing issues. Right now you can edit spreadsheets, but docs and presentations are not editable. This is an issue that has to be fixed on Google's side. There have been recent improvements in Docs that almost makes it editable on iPad - everything seems to work except that the keyboard doesn't come up! So it seems like they're working on it. We can't wait until it's ready! We use Google Docs, too!ReplyDelete
I am pretty much rid of my laptop for work except for editing the rest of my Google Docs. When Google releases this capability, I'll never need to lug around a heavy laptop with all it's giant chargers and stuff around again. LOVE THIS APP!!!ReplyDelete
