Thanks for all your patience while G-Whizz! version 1.2 has been in review. For some reason unknown to us, it was in review for almost 3 months and has finally been approved. Here are the changes in this version:

Also, please note that we've become aware of a bug in this version that causes the ratings prompt to appear every time at startup. This is more noticeable on iPad then iPhone (because of the iPhone's multitasking). We've already submitted a fix for this and hope that it will be approved soon. Great work Ricky. Keep it up! Is it possible to add the ability to save images to your photo roll from Reader, etc? That would be awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to get this to work and have not had much luck finding information about this. Whenever I launch G-Whizz! on my iPad, I get the following error:

I'd be interested in where I can find information on how to deal with this.

ReplyDeleteI am having the same issue as Daniel. I opened a link in reader and that errr came up now every time i open g whiz it tries to reopen the link and the error comes up preventing me from closing the page. If there's anyway of fixing this could you let me know. It's been quite frustrating.

Me too! I have tried exiting the app and even rebooting, but I can't make the error go away.

ReplyDeleteWe are working on a fix for this rare issue, but in the meantime you can actually make the window go away if you do the following:
ReplyDelete1. Close the app
2. Open the app and immediately start tapping rapidly in the upper-right-hand corner where the "Done" button will be
3. If you do this correctly, you will be able to activate the "Done" button before the page loads (which causes the error) and will then be able to use G-Whizz! again

ReplyDeleteNice app, but I do run into a problem trying to put in twitter sign on info. It gives me a note saying to download the latest twitter app, but then I click on it, I get an error saying the url can not be displayed, then the app freezes. Only thing I can do to clear it is to delete the app and put it back in.

Where do you set how often G-Whizz! goes out and pulls email?

Great app, definitely my favorite on the iOS. Is it possible to add map support from the calendar? When I type an address in the calendar, under where, and save it. When I view the entry from the calendar, there is a map link but when I press the link it just shows my current location, not the address the link should be.

We call "links" all things in our bulletin board reshared on Facebook. To link so mean especially NOTES facebook or pages published by our friends, videos posted by friends, the pictures posted by friends, etc. .. not only external ones. we want to share these things! and ask loudly for a long time! was possible in past versions, not now, why? i'm a blogger and i want to review your apps.. waiting for an answer, goodbye.
ReplyDeleteGreat app! But since updating to the latest release, Facebook launches into a FB mobile and bounces between the old and new page. I know I can choose desktop mode but i can't make that the default. Any help would be great. And this for an iPad

ReplyDeleteHi- I'm still unable to see the entire Gmail page. Whether in portrait or landscape mode, the bottom third of the page is cut off and I can't scroll down. That leaves me unable to read an email conversation that has more than two or three segments, not to mention contacts and other bits at the bottom of the page.

Why are there advertisements pooping up below with games to try etc. The app is great but I do not like these pop ups.

I'm using that for gmail, gtalk, etc. Your app doesn't show any way to specify a private key.

ReplyDeleteI think I figured out the error 101 code. For the google voice app via gwhizz. On the Voice tab, under the sign out tab, to the right of "Terms of Service" is "Older Version". I clicked "Older Version" to make a google voice call, at the very bottom where it says "Quick call" I entered the number I wanted to call and it worked. This seems to work more like the desktop version of google voice where it asks you which number you want to call with (google chat, google voice number, home number, etc.). I made my choice and the call went through. After the call it took me back to the "new version" and I can't make a call. So, I guess I will be using the older version from now on. :(
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I got this app was because of the ease of using multiple Google email accounts. And it has worked flawlessly for some time now. However, just today, it won't let me refresh on one of my accounts. The other(s) work fine, but this one account tells me Google is offline. I've tried restarting my iPhone 4S, forcibly killing the app to make it reload, but it won't let me update my inbox for this one account. Granted, there's a fair bit of email in it, but still, it's worked great up till now. I read somewhere that you guys suggest to remove and reload the app. I'd do that but it works fine with my other accounts. Plus, even on this account, it's OK on the other folders (sent mail, for example). So there's something WRONG with the app as I've narrowed it down to this one situation dealing with my inbox for this one account! (Also, the person you suggested that solution to reported back that it didn't fix the problem either...)

I am using the application on my iPad and it's awesome. However, when selecting the GMail desktop mode setting my first account loads fine when opening the application. But, it falls back to mobile mode when switching between accounts. I would like to be able to set desktop mode for my gmail and be able to switch in desktop mode between different accounts and have them load in desktop mode as well.

ReplyDeleteIt appears that this app has broken on my iPad. It worked fine up until iOS6 release and now is stuck in a loop when opening the app and it checks for new mail. I use this for business email and can't get it now and I'm dead in the water.
Is there a setting for getting the signature above the quoted text in an e-mail reply?
ReplyDeleteGreat app! But it did something bizarre this AM. The G-whizz app's icon disappeared from my iPad 2 completely. I was putting all my various Google apps in a folder and the icon for G-Whizz just vanished.
ReplyDeleteNow the only way I can access the app's settings is through the control panel or by typing "go" into the iPad search screen that's left from home.
Since there's no icon, I couldn't remove it if I wanted to. I don't want to. But I thought you'd want to know about the disappearing icon.
